Fabulous Antique Carved Oak Bureau Desk.
 
With heavy carving to the front and sides as well as carving detail to the top and even to the back, this piece really is a wonderfully crafted Antique piece of furniture.
 
Hand crafted from Oak, chinoiserie in style, it features a prominent oval-shaped carving depicting a running dog, possibly a greyhound or a similar sighthound, set against a landscape with a building (resembling a castle or church) in the background.
 
The central motif is framed by intricate carvings of foliage, including leaves (possibly oak leaves) and clusters of berries, suggesting a natural or heraldic theme.
 
Also carved into the front panel is ‘Anno 1718’, year 1718.
 
A truly stunning piece to add character and charm to any space.
